Our research
Our research on physical activity is broad and explores the impact of health outcomes on different populations. There are currently several research projects where we study several aspects of physical activity. We describe physical activity levels among older adults and investigate the effect of mHealth (mobile health) interventions and other interventions to promote physical activity in primary health care. We also seek to understand the relationships between physical activity and different outcomes, such as health care utilization. Currently, we are collecting data about physical activity among persons with long Covid.
Aims
-
Describe physical activity levels in different populations
-
Construct and evaluate interventions to facilitate physical activity
-
Explore the use of electronic- and mobile Health in physical activity promotion
Impact
Our research is highly relevant for society since it contributes to knowledge about interventions to promote physical activity. Especially the research about promoting physical activity among older persons will be necessary in the future.
How our research contributes to CoPARLU
We conduct clinical research, on different populations, often with chronic diseases or various risk factors for disease. Our studies also focus on the use of mobile health to promote and measure physical activity.
