CoPARLU is a multidisciplinary center gathering all researchers with expertise in physical activity at Lund University. Our research ranges from molecular experiments and clinical trials to investigations of psychological, gender, and sustainability aspects of lifestyle physical activity.

Having a physically active lifestyle has been associated with a broad range of health benefits. Since 2020, the Swedish government has been making special efforts to increase physical activity in society to prevent lifestyle-related diseases and promote public health. By collaborating across disciplines, we can offer a deepened knowledge about the effects of physical activity and a larger perspective on how we can use physical activity in a cost-effective and sustainable way.

Our research groups contribute with expertise from several faculties of Lund University. See “Research Groups” for more information about the focus of each group.
