Our research
Our research focuses on brain plasticity, education, and cognition. Physical exercise is often the elephant in the room when it comes to these processes. Our main method is Magnetic Resonance Imaging in conjunction with multiple measures of cognition and training outcomes.
Aims
-
To explore if exercise in conjunction with cognitive training yields better learning outcomes and a more widespread rewiring of the brain than cognitive training on its own.
Impact
Getting more knowledge in how physical activity affects rewiring and learning outcomes could help optimize education and rehabilitation for different groups in our society.
How our research contributes to CoPARLU
We offer expertise in multi-modal brain imaging of neural changes as an effect of training. Our methods could be valuable to assess the effects of physical activity interventions.
